Accessibility for All Policy
We recognize the importance of providing an inclusive and accessible website for all user groups. This page explains our approach to making our website accessible, the features we offer to improve accessibility and what to do if you need to contact us.
Our Approach
We believe that this website meets or exceeds the level A criteria of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WCAG WAI) 2.0 guidelines.
Accessibility Features
Keyboard access
“Skip to main content” links are provided to bypass the navigation menu and go directly to the main content of the page.
Font size
You can change the text size with the option to change the font size of your browser: View – Font Size.
Alternative text for images
Appropriate alternative text has been added to all images.
Header elements
HTML header elements are used to represent the page structure. This allows assistive technologies to navigate within the page from header to header.
Link text
All hyperlinks should also be understandable when read out of context and hyperlinks are clearly presented in a different writing style from the regular text.
JavaScript independence
When JavaScript or other scripts are used for navigation or functionality, an alternative mechanism is put in place if your browser does not support these scripts.
Color contrast
We checked the text and background color combinations to make sure that the contrast was sufficient and that the information was not only indicated by color.
Style templates
We used Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control the presentation of the pages and provided the content with properly structured markup. Information on the site can be accessed and read even if style templates are not supported or are disabled.
